This book is great. She help many people together with her experiences and insights. She has been directly on the mark. On the personal note–this book solved the problem with my son yesterday! He really needed a back massage and that I wouldn’t have considered doing the work without reading this book. I’m glad that she simply wrote it!

Phyllis Wheeler’s book Nurturing Your Asperger’s Child is really a helpful but a simple read. She gives nuts & bolts-type help together with her own family’s story. Mrs. Wheeler covers lots of ground very well inside a few pages. She also supplies a wonderful resource list divided to numerous issues regarding individuals with Asperger’s. She shares & explains her very own family’s chore charts, which does indeed give one a concrete concept of how you can implement an action plan to assist one’s Aspie gain structure but learn in day-to-day living. I will wholeheartedly recommend this excellent resource: the private story of 1 family.

It’s so easy to find medication for Aspergers, but no one offered me the social skills training like they did. They pointed me in the right direction.

Before, I could never get him (the boy with Asperger’s) to read more than 2 pages of a story book. But yesterday he read ten.  He also remembered to do his chores when I forgot about them!

And all his improvement is thanks to this. If they hadn’t guided me in the right direction, I don’t think I would have achieved this much.
